One to remember: Moving forward- Ins and Outings
As you turned one I finally turned the seat round in your buggy so instead of facing in and looking at me, you are facing out and looking at the world. I was surprised by how much difference this change of perspective has made to your enjoyment of our outings (and mine!).It seems you have moved through the phase of needing to see me to know that I’m there and now my face smiling down at you, which used to be reassuring, is just blocking your view!
Maybe this change is also symbolical of a new phase of parenting. Maybe I need to get out of your way more often and let you explore your world, still guiding, but not always leading the way.
